To win in the Big 12 BYU is going to need to bring it every week and if there is one thing that defines BYU football right now it is mind boggling inconsistency. Beat Arkansas on the road, get blown out by a struggling TCU team coming off a bye week. Forget what shoes to wear and get destroyed by Iowa State one week and nearly upset Oklahoma the next. You can't expect to win if you can't bother to show up each and every week. You can't afford to throw away games

I'm also really worried about the QB position, offensive & defensive lines, defensive playmakers and as always health/depth.

And to be fair, 4 wins has not been remotely normal. BYU has averaged about 8 wins a season for a long time but that was playing a different level of competition. It's a lot easier to get to 8 wins when the schedule has gifts like UMass and New Mexico State and Georgia Southern and Liberty and Toledo and Northern Illinois and other gimmes sprinkled throughout the schedule. But those days are gone and I'm not remotely convinced that this year's team is ready to step up to the challenge. I'm not convinced that the talent has improved and I'm not convinced the try if you feel like it today culture has changed.
