I think it is "a question" at what point something moves from "yeah, everyone has to do this" to "if you pay to get out of it, you don't have to do this"....

Lines at amusement parks vs lines at DMV vs lines at security vs lines at election sites.

The question at the very top of this is "WHY are people mad at CLEAR and why is there a bill to Ban CLEAR (or to at least prevent any new contracts with CLEAR in the future)?"

The reason is .... alot of people DO see the line a security as more like the line to vote than the line to get on "It's a small world" at DisneyLand. It may or may not be.... AND I think there is an interesting argument that the line skipping things at DisneyLand kind of make alot of people mad too.
