As BlooGeek mentioned, Home Assistant has a steep learning curve, but nothing can really compare with its capabilities. It is the ultimate unified smart system. I have Nest thermostats, Zigbee door sensors, Z wave light switches, a Rachio smart sprinkler system, August smart locks, and many more integrations, and all of it is available in my Home Assistant dashboards. Plus I think Home Assistant has the most powerful and configurable automation system.
But it would be difficult to get the full benefits of Home Assistant without some coding skills.
