Secondly, Taysom’s RTG includes years where he was a wildcat type QB. So, he had one read and if that wasn’t there he ran. That’s very different from running an actual NFL passing scheme.

On top of that, RTG includes rushing yards. So, he’s getting credit for how good he is with his legs. Taysom is an elite runner as a QB and that’s factored into his RTG. It also considers all the times he lined up at QB, but ran QB power. So on plays where he doesn’t have the option to pass, he gets to boost his RTG.

So no, it doesn’t mean anything that Taysom’s RTG is 89.4.
