Is it normal for the pilot light on gas fireplace to never go out? The fireplace
has one on/off switch on the wall. When flipped to off, a small light remains 24/7. Google is giving me conflicting responses.

You don’t summon a pilot light.

Yes, normal. You can turn it off in the summer to avoid the heat gain.
