They won’t be winning national championships like they used to.Stanford and ucla
Have been the best at oly sports. That is gong to change. Playing 2-3 time zones away has affects. Will be worse for Stanford and cal.

Why are Olympic sports “obliterated by travel”. Not seeing it.

So it obliterates you? Doubt it. Are you 18-22 years old? Huge difference too

I think it has more to do than just a couple of teams having a longer flight.

I didn’t say it was easier. I just don’t see it “obliterating” their Olympic

Any increase to marginal cost for those programs that are in the red further sinks athletics in the red

I’m sure they are devastated with the $100m+/year of Big 10 media money coming in
TCuz

It’s an average of $65M per year. -$10M sent to Cal. -$10M for additional travel

+$21m/year just for the CFP. It’s a lot more than what you’re saying. They will be fine. Your last paragraph is wrong.

I didn’t say they wouldn’t be fine. Just saying your $100M/yr for media rights
Junior Deputy

The Big 10 media deal eventually projects between $80m-100m per year per member. +$21m for CFP alone.

The initial reports overstated revenue per school.
