I don't live in Utah but other people in my family on the plan do. It seems fine
At least I don't remember ever hearing them complain. I would expect the Verizon coverage you have now to be a bit better though.
I've used it for a few years, I think it's pretty solid deal if you aren't looking for a free phone or some other incentive to switch providers.
