how “nice” of a guy Kalani is. Everyone loves him as a person. He is a stand up individual who embodies the Christlike mission BYU touts. He is a phenomenal dude. But a very, very mediocre coach.
We all know how hard it can be to fire a guy who you love as a person. Now imagine how much harder it is for a religious institution who already views sports as not that important…
It’s going to be like ripping off a bandaid for BYU. But we need to do it. The level of apathy that Kalani and co. bring is unacceptable. Football is the most crucial sports to an athletic programs success. We need to start treating it this way.
