That is news to me and the tons of goateed BYU fans/alumni that I personally know and live by. The Sacrament Tray shots are all them, but most BYU alumni only cared the beard crap, back when they had to shave for the testing center. It is a part of the antiquated Honor Code, that makes absolutely no sense, and is stuck in the 60s, when the hippie movement was big. Go to church and there are plants of beards and goatees. It looks a lot better than the 70s pornstache that is HC friendly.
