Also, near-unlimited subbing for NCAA women's soccer reduces the injury risk you are talking about.
But yeah, I agree with you that it would be cool to spread the NCAA soccer seasons out over 2 semesters. I can see why it doesn't get the NCAA attention for that. But decision-makers there aren't looking at NCAA soccer as a potential cash-cow for them, which perhaps it could be if done right. Maybe.
