There is no reason to make Bama, Georgia, etc…play Fresno State, Liberty, or San Jose State in a 1 vs 32 match up. All you’re going to get in injuries.

For the most part…even with just four seeds we still see blowouts. Look what Georgia did to TCU?

I don’t need two weeks of nonsense games just to a few schools can feel like they made it. 8 teams is enough. 12 teams is probably too many, but if you give the top 4 seeds a bye you can have some decent round 1 games and then the next weekend you’ll probably get some blowouts…but maybe an upset or two.

It just isn’t necessary at the FBS level.
