Iowa State may have wanted the K-State staff to help deflate the rumors, but the rumors were started by the media.

Clearly something happened behind the bench. It seems clear at this point it wasn’t anybody associated with Iowa State staff. But Tang had every right to question the inappropriate behavior and bring it to their attention.

The media then runs with their own narrative. Tang, when asked about it, said repeatedly the issue was addressed and closed.

If Iowa state fans are still upset about it; they are just as rational as BYU fans upset about Tang’s comments about Glover.

I stand by my comment that any rational fan would love to have a coach like Tang. I expect his trajectory over the next ten years to be very successful. If Nae’Qwan had stayed and Ques hadn’t been injured, it would be a very different story this year.

With that being said, Pope is great. The BYU team has definitely been phenomenal this year and individual players have risen to the challenge of their B12 competition in ways I certainly did not expect.

The Marriott Center has already established itself as one of the best venues in the conference and a significantly challenging place to play. The future is bright for BYU basketball.
