I think this year we'll see a much better defense with the exact coaches as last year, the difference? Talent. The coaches didn't get smarter in a year, they got better talent. And if BYU were still a G5, our recruiting ranking this year would be in the 70's, not the 40's. If you want proof, just go look back over the last 25 years or so when they started the rankings. BYU has always hovered around 70's.
Every coach and player will tell you talent trumps coaching.
And every arm chair QB will tell you coaching trumps talent.
