And while I wouldn’t say no to a truly concours-level car, that’s not what I got (my two vehicles are one that’s about a condition 2 one with a pretty fresh restoration, and a condition 3 with a restoration several decades old). And that’s fine because I’m not so nervous that I won’t try my hand at fixing basic problems or taking it them on the road when I feel like it. I do truly really hard to keep them as near to 100% original as possible though.
