The baseball field is heated.
It’s also artificial.
As noted, the majority of players prefer grass.
Holmoe is on record as saying he is a strong proponent of natural grass and that it would take a new AD to consider a switch to an artificial surface. (Obviously this doesn’t preclude installing new natural grass.)
