generally is a statistical abnormality. Out of every single D1 quarterback to every throw enough qualifying passes in a single season, only 85 times has that individual completed 70%+ passes. That would be 85 out of somewhere north of 10000 data points. Just doesn't happen that often. As a matter of fact, 2 players in the history of BYU have done it (Wilson 2021, Young 1983). So that is probably a piece of the puzzle as well.
