didn't mean to say I wish we had someone other than Slovis. Aaron Roderick and the BYU staff obviously know much more than me or any of us about evaluating college football talent. If they're going with Kedon, then I trust he's the best guy we have. I don't like clamoring for the backup QB. I think that usually (not always, but usually) shows a lack of football knowledge and is kind of a lame fan thing to do (similar to blaming losses on referees). That's not what I meant with my original post.
I also think Slovis is a better passing QB than Riley Nelson was.
My point with the original post was to say if we have these problems on the OL, and if we maybe don't have the most dynamic of playmakers at the skill positions, maybe a guy that could do things with his feet, a guy that can extend plays, would be better than a guy that stays in the pocket and just delivers to his receivers.
