On my mission all the missionaries were allowed to go to the College Baseball
World Series each year. At least the ones that were serving in the Omaha area at the time. We had to buy our own tickets but they were pretty cheap in 1998 and 1999. We were all dressed in our regular missionary clothes, and all sat together. A few home runs were hit into our section and the missionaries who caught the balls were shown on ESPN highlights. We thought it was good publicity for us and the church.

This is true. President Jon got tickets for the entire mission. There is also a pregame tailgate focused on donations
