I'm a little jealous of that picture. Great job on your ancestors for taking it. As for changing the color of the uniform Photoshop has some newish features that can, relatively easily, pick out the outline of what it is you want to change. From there it is just a matter of messing with changing the colors until you get the shade you want. For a newbie, like me, it would be difficult, but for someone who uses photoshop all the time it would probably be a fairly simple fix. - might also want to fade the gentleman in the upper left into the picture a little. He definitely looks photoshopped in.
