my favorite but we ate it. I also spent 4 days camping out of a truck enjoying beautiful scenery and sunrises. Spent time with my father who helped out. Had dozens of adventures and opportunities sneaking in on bucks trying to find one that we felt was big enough. Missed the biggest one and ended shooting the second biggest after a long stock and shot. The smile on my son's face and the time spent was priceless to him and me. I spent the money to have the head mounted because it will be a life long memory for him and me. In away, it honors the animal even more than just eating it.
I also have a really nice Whitetail buck I shot with my boy. We still talk about it all the time too. He was dang good eating which is why we hunt them. Mounts on walls are memories for most. Yes, some people are nuts about it but so what. I appreciate people mounting small bucks and bulls just as much as the big ones. Most of the time those animals are not easy to get and if someone wants to have them mounted then so what who cares.
