Before the games they all dress up in shirts and ties.

After the game he take his pads off and we go down on the field to find him. He’s wearing a long sleeved white shirt. It’s soaked in sweat. He had clearly played the whole game in a long sleeved &Collar dress shirt. He had apparently rolled the sleeves up. The top button was still buttoned up, but he had ditched the tie.

I asked him why he wore his button up shirt and he said he forgot his undershirt. I asked him why he didn’t just call and have us bring him one. He took a long breath in and said:

“I guess it’s my first rodeo, Dad.”
