season ticket holders. Some were polite, several were just obnoxious the entire game trying to get reactions out of us.
The catch happened right down on the field in front of us and was one of those moments where you’re jumping and screaming and you turn to see hundreds of people silent with their mouths hanging open processing what just happened. They were winning right up until they weren’t.
Priceless!
Then holding hands we made our way down to the front row to high-five the players. (We didn’t know they were nixing that tradition for this game) and some dork in red in the second row decided he was protecting the field and shoved me out of the isle into/on someone’s grandma, who’s adult daughter started screaming at me (yes, it’s 2 against 100 and I’m going to start shoving grandmas…). I put my arms up to make it clear I wasn’t looking for a fight and then an usher who watched this happen came up and threatened to call security if we didn’t leave.
I wouldn’t treat a yewt the way we were treated during and after the game, but that catch at the end made it all worth it.
