....Like this kids game and the versatile type of players that Pope is targeting. This kid has reportedly heard from Providence, Arkansas, Siena, Duke, Villanova, UCF( offered), Kansas, Michigan St., Kentucky, Michigan, West Virginia, UConn, Arizona, BYU, Bryant, and Auburn. According to 247 he's a 5 star kid so it's not realistic to think we will get very far in the recruiting process with him but I applaud the effort.

Pope is aiming high and focusing on 6'6" to 6'8" rangey type athletes who can put pressure on defenses and put the ball on the floor or hit the 3. Wahlin going to Utah gave Pope an opportunity to get OV's with some similar type players to fill Wahlin's spot, guys who can flex up or down.
I like all 4 of the international guys Pope is targeting for his 2023 class (Sy, Yaak, Petras and Sacko). Utah's recruiting under Coach Smith has been a little sus. His 2023 recruiting ranking on 247 is #90 with their 2 recruits both being former BYU guys (Wahlin and Hunter Erickson). Pope's 2024 recruiting class is ranked #29 right now by 247 but has potential to go up if we can add Koz and/or Diallo. Utah's 2024 class is ranked #40 right now after they got a committment from RSL Academy 3 star player David Katoa. He had competing offers from NJIT, SUU, UCSB and USU. How long will Coach Smith last in the Pac12 with that kind of recruiting?
