I based this off of reviews, medical education and my personal assessment of her. She was a bit surprised as she doesn’t get that many male patients picking her as their primary doc.
It can be hard to tell who is going to be excellent. I’ve trained over 100 physicians through the years and it is very difficult to tell who is going to be great. Some of the very top test scorers had poor judgment and personal skills. Some of the bad test takers were smooth and confident (sometimes that was scary). But it’s hard to really point at any specific variables that accurately predict success during residency. Bad test scores are a bad predictor. Otherwise, success can be achieved by a very diverse group of physicians.
