Now, I'm not predicting that BYU will compete for the B12 championship in their first year or even end up in the national rankings, but I do feel that BYU will be competitive in the conference and probably end up about the middle of the pack.

It's not like BYU has been play a complete slate of G5 or worse every year for the past decade. BYU has played and beaten many good/name schools, including 5-0 against the mighty P12 a couple of years ago. BYU's biggest issue, in my opinion, will be depth and injuries stemming from playing quality teams week in and week out. But I don't see the Cougars routinely being overmatched or wiped out on the scoreboard. I suspect we'll be pleasantly surprised with how close BYU will end up to being legitimately competitive with B12 teams top to bottom.
