people were getting close taking pictures with cameras (pre cells). One idiot got above the bear on the hill about 25 yards away. The bear stood up and started running at him. The guy was having a hard time running down hill through the sage brush with his camera in a couple of inches of snow. He kept falling and getting up. Eventually he just left his camera and got back to the cars. The whole time the students on bus (field trip) were screaming. The girls were screaming in sheer panic thinking they were about to see someone get mauled and the guys were almost cheering it on calling the guy and idiot. The bear chased him about half way down and then turned back. I'm guessing he got to within 10 yards or so. I'm not sure when or if the guy went back to his camera.
