I don't know what limp mode is, but sometimes it will vibrate as it seems to be
turning the traction control on an off.

The traction control service light just came on in my vehicle. How concerned

It shouldn’t affect driveability but you should have it looked at.

What vehicle? We had a GMC Acadia and that was a never ending rabbit hole.

2015. We bought it used in 2019. It's only got 55K on it. No other problems.

Mine was an older 2011. It was good and still managed. I was just done stressing over it.

I’ve had that light coming on in my truck for five years. I’ve ignored it. But that’s not necessarily a good thing.🙂

It’s much more dangerous to be driving while posting on CB.

That dang light has been on for most of the 21 years I've had my 2002 4-Runner.

Is it going into limp mode as well? Or just a light?

Have you been losing a little power or has it been throwing a check engine code?
Ssebo

Also is the vibration as you accelerate or slow down?

It's throwing a check engine code and the vibration only happened while it was

The traction control automatically resets when you turn off your car for a few minutes.

It could also be a wheel speed sensor. Those are pretty easy as well.

I really think it is a dirty throttle body though. I wish I was in your area and I would bring by a Chevy code reader.

I have a code reader. Here's what I get:

So the traction control light often goes on just because the car goes into limp mode, and like I said

Thanks! I'm going to try this.

If it doesn't work, try the above steps.

If anyone cares for the rest of the story...it was the alternator. It failed
