Honestly, SMU is no different than UCF however. I was in Orlando last week and multiple people in the Orlando market joke that UCF was added to the BIG12 to bring in the Orlando/Central Florida market.
Most would argue the MLS team there is more popular than any of the CFB teams. With the Hispanic population I wouldn't disagree.
