I went to Kauai last May. BEST TRIP EVER!
We paid for two excursions. Helicopter tour and floating the sugar cane canals.
We hiked almost every day. Hoopii Falls, Hanakapiai Falls (need parking pass or shuttle pass), Queens Bath, Secret Turtle Cave, and Waimea Canyon Trail.
Stayed on the east coast in Kapaa. Waipouli Beach Resort. Allowed us to go North or South depending on the weather for the day. We went North 4 days and South 2 days.
Snorkeled at Tunnels Beach, Anini Beach, Poipu Beach. Snorkeled with turtles at each location. Tunnels was the best with a family of like 7 turtles.
It was so fun. Can't wait to take my kids.
