Viewing angles at track meets are a casualty of sharing stadiums with football.
The angles just don’t work. Parents going to the rail to cheer when their kid is running is inevitable.
Watching a meet at the new Hayward stadium in Eugene was a revelation. It was incredible to be able to see the whole oval from any seat.
