realized that they would be gone soon and they didn't have as long a leash as thought so they took the shortcut of being just good enough to not get fired but they basically abandoned doing the hard work of implementing the D they originally wanted. I think they told themselves that the new D better reflected the athlete they could get at BYU. It finally caught up with them this year. I hope Jay has the patience to see it through.
