coaching changes, changing in recruiting philosophy, and there’s talk of changing the strength and conditioning up too. He was obviously waiting for players or the program to develop and that approach didn’t work.
New coaches and directions in any of those areas will make things better, and BYU will be fine.
What the jury is really out on is if BYU will behave like a competitive athletics department and invest, or if they want to keep acting like frugality and TV exposure are the real trophies they’re playing for.
