Didn't address efficiencies. Just the reality that EVs on the road (in general) use fossil fuels to power them. I think it's known that most electric utilities still get the majority of their fuel from fossil fuels, primarily natural gas. YMMV
Of course fossil fuel power plants are more efficient than ICE cars. Yet they're still fossil fuel power plants. That was genesis of this sub-thread.
Perhaps I was wrong to assume a CO2 connection, because that's what I started to discuss. I don't disagree about efficiency though, as a standalone point.
