I thought it was fun!! HCBW liked it too.

All the planes scenes were great, I thought. Certainly LOOKED realistic (or more realistic). They looked like they were straining against the turns and stuff, which I thought made it look more real. But I'm not a pilot so i don't really know.

Funny to be sooooo PC as to not name the country with the enrichment plant, or the type of planes or the type of SAMs.....

I thought the test flight plane in the opening scene looked really cool. Loved the skunkworks emblem all over. Amazing what they did there (and I assume are still doing there).

Overall, super fun movie in my opinion.... And definitely worth seeing in the big theater.

Some "nit-pic" stuff/questions...

Our showing had a quick intro from Cruise saying thanks for coming to the theater. He looked quite a bit older in that little clip. SO, do they do some "touchups" on Cruise (and others maybe) in those big blockbuster movies?

I didn't know Val Klimer was soooo sick. Interesting how they kind of worked that into the story. BUT, I do wish, maybe, they could have had a quick cameo with Kelly McGinnis and/or Meg Ryan. BUT it's fine without them, but it would have been fun. But i guess they killed off Meg Ryan's character in the off screen story.
