Successful tanking in the NBA is less about trying to lose every game and more about being 25-35 and realizing
your season is over anyway and not really going out of your way to win tons of games. Or like OKC with Kevin Durant early on making sure he was the best player on your team so he could learn and grow and develop.
It definitely works.
OKC didn't really have a choice as George was leaving and I don't think CP3 was staying. So they could either blow it up or compete for the 11 seed. Now they just need to do a better job of drafting talent.
