Post of the year. So true, I detest it and it makes me cringe every time to
Think of all the other real places that we could have gone. Why everyone is so irrationally obsessed with that place is beyond my comprehension.
The worst are the Epcot people, who act as though they’re now official world travelers after a day and have no need to go see the real places.
Also, the odd way people seem to delight in being take a ride by the exorbitant pricing is like a bizarre Stockholm Syndrome. People who most likely have no business being there (financially speaking) just losing their minds and blowing hundreds if not thousands of dollars on cheap trinkets and terrible food... and telling themselves it’s all worth it and part of the experience and that they’re loving every minute of it.
What a privilege to wait in line for 90 minutes, all while kids are screaming from exhaustion and your blistered feet are pure misery, to experience a 90 second lackluster ride only be dumped into another gift shop to add to the credit hole these people are already in.
But yeah, happiest place on earth, ammiright?!
They know that we know that it’s absurd and they also know that we know we can’t say or do anything about it or else we are bad dads.

The crowds are what makes Disneyland awful. I might go back if they found a price point that kept the crowds down

Demand for Disneyland tickets is very inelastic. Raise prices 10% and it only decreases demand by a couple % points.

Staying at the Grand Californian is amazing. You can hop back to the hotel for a nap/swim/etc right from the park.
