Two reasons I can surmise:
1) Those who combine BYU FB and travel. They like the destinations of some of the PAC 12 schools which are admittedly better.
2) Those who have held onto the PAC 12 goal from the 80’s/90’s, and can’t see that things have changed.
For BYU and it’s athletics programs, the Big 12 is better in every way.
