He went 1-4 for 2 yards (plus 3 penalties & a drop); then went 4-5 for 43 yards
Then he successfully handed off without bobbled snaps or fumbled exchanges for the entirety of the 4th quarter. If he can replicate the second segment (last 3 possessions) instead of the first segment (first 2 possessions), he'll do great. No, he didn't try to matriculate the ball down the field after his first two misses but he was probably told not to. That wouldn't be on HIM; that's just coaches managing a game (and doing great with it/him).

The blue print on Saturday could absolutely be the same as the last 3 possessions against Utah State, with a little bit of deep passing sprinkled in. Short, high percentage passes, a lot of Allgeier, and find a deep shot (preferably in one-on-one coverage on the outside so we don't take risks over the middle) every couple of possessions just to let Boise know you can. And then more Allgeier. Allgeier. Allgeier. Allgeier.

My guess is Conover would lean more on the TEs and RBs in the passing game as well. Just doing this could net us 400 yards of offense (and actually fairly balanced between rushing and passing) and 28-35 points.
