him: "hey, congrats on your win last weekend, you guys looked good, we didn't."

me: (surprised to be sought out by a Ute fan in San Francisco, especially one not American) - "oh, thanks, you're a Utah guy?"

him: "well I went to med school there, doing my residency here."

me: "ahhh, well Ute med school guys are a higher caliber, a higher grade."

him: (matter-of-factly) "yeah, it's a pretty big dropoff from there to the undergrads, and most of the med students couldn't care less about Utah sports, but I tried to get into it."
