A grown yewt man and isn’t in the heat of the moment, he should be able to think and know where to draw the line. I get he’s your friend but man…..I don’t defend my friends bad actions. Stop defending someone who’s crossing a line they shouldn’t.
Reminds me of a speech in Runaway Bride. They’re all making fun of her for not going through with three weddings at a luau pre-marriage event. The reporter who came to do by a story stands up and says “To all her friends and family….may you find yourselves the bullseye of an easy target. May you be publicly flogged for your bad choices. May all your noses be rubbed in all of your mistakes…”
Perhaps your “good guy” of a friend could have a bit more compassion for a guy who struggled with a very hard addiction and fought his way back, rather than making fun of it. Addicts are never “cured” truly and you can bet he still has to keep on top of not being tempted.
