Let’s assume for a moment that massive conference realignment is on the horizon,
That two major players in the Big 12 are likely to jump ship, setting off a realignment fervor not seen in 11 years. Some additional schools may be considered for P5 affiliation that are not currently considered P5. Subjective and objective evaluations of candidate schools will occur, where presumably all facets of said schools is on the table in terms of evaluation. Due to the perceived competition between schools of getting into a P5, can you not see why some on here might scoff at a Boise fan claiming that Albertsons is on par with BYU’s 65,000 capacity stadium, or that your Gordita Crunch arena is somehow comparable to the Marriott Centers 20k arena?

Of course, insecurity is part of the equation. For it not to be with Boise simply implies that Boise has never been where BYU is, which is seemingly on the cusp of joining a P5 on multiple occasions, only to not get an invite. But to say that your facilities are adequate, or to think that they play no part in total evaluation of schools, seems a bit naive. No one at BYU believes that our facilities are where they need to be, but the point of this thread is that we take solace in the fact that ours are better than any “competition” for P5 inclusion.
