All-American
Home inspector started up our brand new furnace and it smelled like burning
rubber and the smoke alarms went off.
Builder says that’s normal, it’s just oil burning off the new furnace.
Accurate?

Smell of burning dust and Sheetrock leftovers is normal, but not burning oil.
