Honestly, I don't get the idea of doing anything more than a 'welcome back' applauding of the guy. No video montages, no standing O's needed. I joke about booing him, but I won't be there so I don't care. But he's no legend. He's not LaVell. He restored us from crap to mediocrity - only winning games we should have won, very seldom winning games we shouldn't have won (IMO), and then he left. His ceiling didn't include that many great games, and he started the trend of losses to the U by claiming "it's just another game" and downplayed it to everyone including to the team.
When my former coworkers come back to visit, nobody gives them a standing O. They just smile and welcome them back. My feelings are the same toward BM. He worked here, did just above average work, and left. I'm sure he's a great guy (if I were to know him personally), and I hope he has a great visit and leaves with a loss. I don't think he's deserving of showers of love from everyone, but if people do it, I don't care. I just don't get why.
