immigrants and a Jewish kid from Indiana. They show up in SoCal, they work and bleed and party and shred, and they come to typify SoCal and then export everything that’s awesome about it to the world.
They originated a genre and yet they’re hard to pigeonhole into a genre. They defined an era and ushered in that era. They stuffed the limp—— Carter years in its locker and brought on the swaggering, big DE Reagan 80s, when America was basically a face-melting EVH guitar solo.
Why are millennials all depressed and insecure? Cuz they were raised on Nirvana and Pearl Jam, who made it cool to be depressed and sad. Ugh. Not worth the crust on my underwear (to borrow a line from Steel Panther). We need another VH.
