Have the resources to pay those guys. The only non P5 schools that have landed top 100 recruits in the last decade are the ones with money like UCF and Houston.
You can’t go down from a 0% chance, the scenario you described never happens. Bama does not compete with poor schools for recruits at all. They compete with other wealthy schools that in some cases have larger budgets than them. If anything this hurts Alabama, Clemson and OSU. They can’t outbid teams like Michigan, Texas and Texas A&M on every player. Those schools actually have more money and it will be much harder for to dominate recruiting like they have.
