hoops in the driveway without getting coached. So I only played sports my parents knew nothing about and quit all the ones they insisted on coaching me on. Under different circumstances I never would have quit basketball at 12 before I grew to my eventual 6'4" height.

They are great coaches and my kids actually respond to them coaching really well. But I just didn't like it at all.
