I trashed my last MacBook Pro.. it was covered in scratches, dings, and a few well-placed stickers. The lady I sold it to actually said "It looks worse in person than in the pictures" (she bought it at a discounted price).
I decided to be nicer to its replacement so I've been looking for a laptop sleeve... and after months of buying/returning, I finally found one I like.
It's hand-made by a guy named Alex in his leather shop in San Jose.
