I'm sure Notre Dame would be treated the same... but they are treated differently because they have...
A scheduling agreement with the ACC. Atleast it's billed that way. If BYU had a similar scheduling agreement with the PAC or the BIGXII, I'd prefer the BIGXII, then BYU might have a chance to get the same treatment as ND.

The rule is "highest ranked G5 champion". We can't be a champion of a G5 conference because we aren't in a G5 conference

Because all of the conferences voted. BYU didn’t have a vote then and we won’t now unless we join a conference.
