The individual didn't get exposed enough or did enough to get an offer from a bigger school and now many of these individuals in smaller schools are looking for the bigger programs. Coaches that can develop players at the smaller schools suffer while the P5's love it and anything that contributes to more benefits for the top programs and causes the others to suffer just tarnishes the end product.
On the other hand, it's their lives. The almost "free agency" has really gone crazy.
To me as a fan, it's ruining the sport. Do you think Damian Lillard would have ever stayed at Weber St in today's environment? I really doubt he would have, and that is sad.
