My wife wanted to sign us up for the vaccine on March 12th but I convinced her to wait until March 19th.
We met at the Smith's Pharmacy at 600 N and maybe 1100 W in SLC because that is the only one in the area that offered the J&J (and my HCBW did the research and thought we wanted that one). She came from home and I came from the office.
Day 0: shot didn't hurt at all. We wandered around the store for the required 15 minutes, working our arms the whole time. We went our separate ways each promising to do some pushups when we got home/to the office.
No arm pain, no symptoms for either of us. Had pizza and hoops watch party at work as we always do on the first day of the tourney.
Day shot +1: Woke up and felt good. I ran on the treadmill and she rode the bike while we watched an old Psyche episode.
As somewhat expected and hence the timing of the shot right before the tourney, I started to feel a little achy so I sat down and watched NCAA hoops all day. Got a slight fever that maxed out at 100.2. Overall, the worst thing about the day was the BYU loss.
Day shot +2: Woke up. Felt fine. Went to 9am church. Still felt fine thereafter but watched the tourney the rest of the day as a precautionary measure. No shot site pain, no swelling, good basketball.
Day shot +3: This was Monday. Everything fine. Went to work. Feeling safe so the the spouse and I booked a Baltic Cruise for the end of August to celebrate the expected return to normalcy.
The end.
